Rear Brake Trouble (includes video)

Featured Replies

mine is off a little. thats off an awful lot...

Id get a straight edge and check the discs for warping, if you dont want to take them off.

at least then you'll know.

If discs were changed, were the hubs cleaned?

Slight bit of muck could throw the disc out.

Remove discs and clean hub faces with wire brush and inside the disc too.

Its the runout

Also did you rotate with wheel off?

If so it didnt happen to catch opposite the retaining screw did it?

Jus watched vid. Put wheel back on n try it. Might catch slightly but with nothing holding disc flush other than one small screw it cant really be tested.

+1 for getting a straight edge on the discs.

Unsure if they were cleaned up before. Probably not. I ffound the other rear was almost the same just not as bad. No I didn't notice if it was opposite the screw.

So if this is faulty will it be new caliper needed?

I had my rear caliper replaced and my handbrake was like that. Sitting square with new caliper.

Hand break release on caliper was knackered.
