Skoda Fabia Radio Code Problem.

Featured Replies

Long story short, My battery died. I tried to enter the code i was given when I bought the car and it was apparently incorrect. Tried the code twice and now I have the try counter at 2.

Now the radio does not give me the option to enter the code at all. It just displays SAFE and a little 2 on the bottom left.

I can get the code VIA ebay but don't really want to spend the ££ if my radio is knackered.

I have also tried the ignition trick to no avail.

HELP! :(

Thanks in advanced Guys!

I went to a Skoda dealer, advised them what had happened, said fine will get the correct code and call me at home  :-)

Surprise they actually did call me at home within thirty minutes, and radio working in three

I believe once you have entered the code wrong a few times it will only unlock after around an hour. Then you can try again, just pop to local skoda dealer they'll sort it out for you and get you the code. They did for me :)

  • 2 weeks later...

I have same problem, symphony unit did not work at all (no power) since I bought the car about 6 weeks ago. I have just got the unit out today, bit of a struggle due to tight fit in the dash, & replaced the 10A fuse in the back. It now powers up but refuses to accept the code printed on the sticker in the manual, it is the correct code as the serial no. on the sticker matches the radio. You have to wait about an hour to try again, with power to the headunit. As far as mine is concerned, I presume headunit is just no good as it won't accept the correct code, so looking for a replacement.
