2002 Octavia VRS Lemon Yellow - Insurance Write Off

Featured Replies

I have just had an accident at a roundabout in Salisbury where an old chap drove through a red traffic light and hit me on the front N/S wing, bonnet and bumper and O/S wing damaged too. The N/S inner wing is bent so car is for parts only.

The insurance company has written the car off but I have the option to buy it back if anyone on here is interested.

I've had the car from new. 2002 (June) in Lemon Yellow. Absolutely immaculate pre accident condition with 90,000 miles from new. Comprehensive service history every 5000 miles / 6 months from new using Quantum Synta oil. Engine has had 2 cambelt / water pump changes, the last at 75000 miles.

Car drove like new. Last year I replaced front & rear shock absorbers (genuine Skoda parts), front and rear hub bearings, it has Audi TT front wishbones with new bushes.

Seats are almost immaculate, slight fraying of the material where it meets the leather on the drivers seat but bolsters are superb and the rear seats have hardly been sat in.

Mudflaps all round, Blaupunkt CD radio and 10 disc changer in boot.

I have turned down an insurance offer of £2000, hoping for a little more. Buy back price will be £450 - 500 dependant on final offer.

Shame to let a scrap yard make lots of money if someone on here needs parts.

Contact Kelvin on 07747 805316 if interested but be quick before the insurance company sells it on.....

Photos available of the damage - inner wings are bent so it is a write off
