How much you reckon in fairly decent condition? Trying to get my mitts on a set

Depending on what Ben does with his interior, a set of Sport covers may come up for sale sometime. They will go straight on a set of vRS fronts. They are OEM, I bought them, then got a different interior so sold them to him but I think his heart is set on leathers.

If it was me I wouldn't pay much more than £175, given I sold my near perfect standard seats for £150. Yes they can get dirty I know but they are basically more or less the same seats.

 

Leather is always better to be honest (sorry but fact) and can be had for not daft money like a lot of us have found, with lots of interesting results as per the interior thread.

 

If you are going to spend a lot of money to change seats, why on earth would you keep the same basic seats as the standard more or less, just darker, beats me. Well overpriced for what they are if they are approaching that kind of money - bear in mind always "advertised as" does not equate to worth its what someone is prepared to pay.

I'm super indecisive, but I'll chuck you a PM when I decide I keep changing my mind. The only reason the covers are not on mine now is because we've had bad weather and I've been working and I've changed my mind again in the mean time

i rekon u could buy all the seat covers to convert VRS seats to Sports for less than £150 (from Skoda).. and you would have brand new covers .. makes me laugh when people price used items higher than new items

Theres ALOT of numtys on Ebay now who just go to dealers/ TPS.. buy a load of bits they know people want like LCR splitters/ ibiza cupra solid bushes/golf gti bumpers/ sideskirts etc etc.. they buy in bulk + get 10% off. Then wack a load of money on top + sell them on Ebay! People assume because they are on ebay then they must be cheaper than "Stealers" prices so buy them + pay well over the odds + delivery on top.. my mind boggles

£300 is a fair price for a decent clean set. Thats what you were asking. We were refering to the set on ebay for £599

£599 is a rediculous price! Iv seen SE leathers for less and even the rarer factory orderered leather with red piping.

I paid top money for a set recently and the next day found a rip on the rear bench :(

Bonus was it came with red seat belts which make a lot of difference to the interior

I was going to try and get the rip repaired but after reading this maybe I'll go down the dealer route and try and source a replacement cover

I don't know, sometimes the prices dealers give can really make you laugh. A few examples being £37 per foot mat for vRS and £63 for the storage drawer under the radio.... No thanks lol
