Coilover help/advice

Featured Replies

The last few weeks have resulted in my front passenger side damper getting progressively worse, leaked out the nose seal to the point that I'm quite certain there is sweet FA fluid left in it, rattles and knocks like a jeep  :giggle:. This may also not have been helped by the 15mm spacers causing holes to be worn in the arch liners, but that is a topic for another day!

Anyway, the long and short of it is I need a new set of coilovers. The current Jom's I find acceptable, if a little crashy over the horrendous Telford roads! Currently however finances aren't at there best, so do I bit the bullet and splash the cash on KW V3's or H&R Ultra-lows, or buy cheap again and save the better stuff for a later time? I want to change to adjustable top mounts whatever, which is best part £300 anyway, and I need some smaller spacers too.

Anyone with any experience of ultra-lows got any recommendations? Ta

Cheers dude, have you got much feedback regarding the H&R ultra-lows?

Ordering my spacers from you now!

ultra-lows are very very comfortable, considering the drop they give, feels like an M-sport car, just very low :)

i'd also buy right and buy once, cheap suspension is awful (as i now know :( )

At the end of the day you could pay monthly for it on Demon tweets if your struggling for cash then when you come into more money you can pay them off :)

The H&R kit is top quality and one of the best kits on the market, they do tend to be a little firmer then others that are available.
