First Wax of the year pics

Featured Replies

Now that the weather is cheering up - I thought id spend a day off cleaning the winter grime off the old girl.

A ride to the chippy over the hills in Holmfirth opened up the opportunity for a pose

Any body else give theirs a spring clean yet this year?

i clean mine every sunday more or less. Just wash it, dry it, was and sealant it most times.

looking forward to giving it a good clay bar soon, don't think it needs it that bad, but would like to and then give it a good machine polish up and wax etc.

Hand polished and waxed mine just to keep it looking decent until I can get the rotary polisher out in summer ;)

Mine just had a clean and polish, too ashamed to hand it in as it was, for the yearly service..LOL

Have not polished or washed the wife's car for years just used a spray product called show room shine wife does more mileage and get her car far dirty than mine. And must admit her car looks better and more shiny than mine after spending  hours of polishing with expensive wax products.

clean mine every 7-10 days, even during winter, if anything more so during winter because of the grit etc :(

here she was last weekend:

All looking rather shiney. Great work there.

I've not been able to keep on top of mine lately. Having to use it every day for work as I came out the carpool due to impending arrival of first child. Then arrival of said baby has kept me occupied so it's in a sorry state. I'll try and post a pic later.

Nice work. If all goes smoothly I should have my very own to get to work on next weekend. It'll be good to have an excuse to crack open the arp and collonite while the mini's SORN'd for a bit.

Lovely looking! What wax do you use?

At the minute Poor Boys Natty Blue, I also use Auto Finesse Desire, DoDo Juice Purple Haze and through winter i use Fish Kare 1000P

Cheers, I'll have to have a gander. Spent some time on mine last week, gave it a good clean and put some effort in, looks alright for a old girl. Thinking I might invest in some wax, never used any before. :D

Waxing is one of the most weirdly addictive processes in the world. And having never had a go before, you get to have all the fun of finding what wax you like.

I'd love to start recommending what I use, but everyone has their own opinions. What I will say is that Dodo Juice's sets of tester pots are an excellent way of trying out a range of options without spending too much.

Have fun!

Guys for anyone who read this and thought that they fancy giving the car a spruce up, or topping up their detailing kit.

There is a group buy on at the moment I ahve organised with Obsession Wax.

I just thought I would give everyone a chance to see this, with the Spy not working whilst the site is being worked on, people might not know it was there

I use meguiars carnabua wax for mine. Does an awesome job. Topped off with autoglym super resin polish. Get your bead on :)
