Ovivo goes bust

Featured Replies

Argh!

I've got one of their sims in a spare iPhone so will not be able to use that again! IIRC there's some other companies offering the same service though.

Never heard of them , but if it was free all they have lost is their number. Like getting outraged that a soup kitchen has run out of soup !

"Customers were outraged that they couldn't get their money back", so a lot like what happens when any other firm that you've lodged an advance payment with goes bankrupt then.

I got my sim when it only cost £5 so there's no doubt that even with infrequent usage I've had my monies worth.

It's just a shame to see it go as it now cuts down the number of networks that I'm able to access.

Then again, for the amount of times I used it, maybe I'm the cause of their demise?

IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT THEN john999boy!!!!!!!! :giggle:

Have 3 sims with them and after the initial panic of what was going to happen, I'm a lot more at ease.  Incoming calls and texts still work (so school can still call me if something happens), and I believe providing a PAC (although with a big delay due to the amount) is a legal requirement so I'm sure I will be able to port them all over again to another network.  Just a bit of hassle really, not much more than that.
