Roomster Maxi Dot Retrofit Possible?

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I'm new here, I picked up my new Roomster yesterday.

It didn't come with the Maxidot display, I was wondering if a retrofit would be possible or not?

Anyone know anything about it?

Cheers

Cris

Very possible. Eddie-NL is the man you want :)

what year is it?

have a look in the fabia section, i have done several

2014, brand new, I figure that might make it harder?

What sort of cost are we looking at?

Cheers

Shouldn't be a problem

newest car I have done was a 63 plate polo with less than 500miles on the clock

hardest bit is finding a suitable cluster

I can fit new and used clusters

if buying a used one make sure it has come from a car with the newer key (LED near the key blade)

I would charge £60 to do the swop if you come to me in Great Yarmouth

So, it looks like I am on the look out for a used Maxidot cluster from a Roomster or Fabia. Any suggestions where I should look? eBay is not throwing up anything right now.

Cheers

Does your car already have a trip computer? If not then you need more than cluster. You also need the modified wiper stalk.

If you bought new then why didn't you specify maxidot? Was it bought ex-stock?

I am in guiseley. If you want to see exactly what you get before forking out then pm me to arrange a meet.

I have the trip computer, so I'm all good on that score.

I wish I could have had it factory fitted, mine was a "Limited Edition" and one of the things with that is you can't specify factory options.

Maxidot would be very nice to have, which is why I am looking into the cost of it.

Cheers

Ah! That explains it!

Definitely ranks as "very nice to have" especially with sat nav integration.

My one disappointment is inability to change custom functions like I could with the Octavia.

Good luck with the hunt. Offer stands if you want to see what you are getting before committing to hassle and expense.
