Windows behaviour?

Featured Replies

Hello,

It's the first time I'm looking into technical infos about my car and I've found this place very interesting :)

I'm from Belgium and I traded my 2009 Fabia for a gorgeous 2014 Rapid :-)

It's a 1.2 TSI.

I'd like to confirm something before requesting help from my Sloda dealer:

With my Fabia I could "auto close" and "auto open" my windows with a heavier push on the button.

With my Rapid, I can only "auto open" the driver window. I can not "auto close" it, neither "auto open/close" the passanger window.

Is it possible to change this behaviour to match it like my Fabia?

Bonus question: is it possible to enable the opening and closing of the windows through the remote key?

I hope the answsers are positive :p

Regards,

Zove

if you have maxidot there should be a setting in the menu.

I do have Maxidot.

I'll have a look, thanks.

Didn't think it would be so simple :)

Don't think its a feature on the Rapid

Are you talking about the "auto open/close" or the remote feature?

Couldn't find anything related to windows in the Maxidot menu :(

I'll try to challenge my dealer this week.

I'll keep you in touch.

You can't change this option, all of the Rapids are like that.

I went to my dealer this afternoon.

The Rapids don't have the option to "auto-close" the driver's window (only "auto-open"), or to "auto-open/close" the passenger's window.

He said it was specifically featured like that for Rapids and nothing can be done about it :(

There is a reason behind it, but couldn't remember what is was.

There is at least some good news though.

He will contact me this week to enable the remote opening and closing of the windows :-)

It has to be done by computer FYI. Can't be set through Maxidot.

Bad news :-(

My dealer contacted me yesterday to tell me that in the end, it could not be done for the Rapid.

He gave me hope and now I'm soooo disappointed.

And in the evening, my OWN MOTHER made a scratch in my rear bumper with her car.

I was so mad. I'm still mad sierkugfizprgu... :(

My girlfriend (not sure it's the appropriate word, she's more than that) couldn't find the scratch by her own.

Only when I told her to touch the bumper along she's found it.

Reassuring I guess. But I can't forget that. I can not. It's there!!

Sorry mate. Sometimes I wish I wasn't so bothered about these things and remembered its just a car.... Maybe then it would take me less time to park in supermarkets....

You could say it's just a car. In a way.

I can't. ==> 1) I paid for it, not anyone else. 2) Not the point but not for a few bucks. A lot of €. 3) I've bought it brand new, pristine, no scratch. 4) My car is not even 2 weeks old :'-( jesus...

I guess you can feel my rage. It's not headed toward you, don't worry.

It's toward the "who cares about paid materials?" principle , like the other one "I damaged your car. So what? I have insurance."

I wish I could Messatsu-Goshoryu or Amaterasu these people.

Sorry about that, I had to let it out :p

uuuhhhhhhh supermarket... so frightening... so much dark possibilities xD

  • 3 weeks later...

Can it be solved by replacing the control module (or any other part) with any other model's?
