I am about to order one of these

I have the Westfalia detatchable tow bar and before I press the order button I'd just like to check anyone's experience of fitting and using this type of device.

It seems incredible that you can safely attach 60 Kg plus of bike/rack  on a single point ........

thanks, Nigel

Hi,

Not used that type but they get good reviews. I bought my rack from roof box, they are great to deal with.

Thanks.

I've been researching similar racks: Can I ask what made you settle on that one?

Auto Express review was good. I need a rack suitable for an electric bike and this seemed specifically designed for them.

See post #9 !

I've had an Atera Strada for several years & cars. Currently using it on my Yeti with Westfalia detachable.

In NW Leics near J24  - fancy a try with mine?

Many thanks. Your word and experience is good enough for me. I know it's expensive but so are the bikes so I will order tomorrow. I can only find roofbox and amazon who stock them and roofbox are cheaper

I've always had first rate service from Roofbox

I use a Witter one (similar style, but takes 3 bikes) on my Yeti with the factory Westfalia towbar - no issues at all - it's rock solid, and far easier to get the bikes on and off than the roofbar system I used in my last car.
