Recommended Posts

hello guys my skoda fabia vrs is leaking coolant, please could anybody help diagnose what is wrong with it, i have to keep topping it up with water and its starting to get on my nerves, now recently the leak has become more worser.

the leak is coming from two pipes that go through the dashboard/car at the back of the engine bay i have dismantled the pipes and here are the pics

Are the ends of the aluminium pipes OK? They are known to fracture sometimes. If they're OK it might just be the o-ring seals that have gone.

i have took the pipes off and fully inspected them, they where completely intact as they should no cracks bends or fractures although the o rings themself had a slight perished or melted a tiny bit, where do i get the o rings from today as i dont want to order and wait a day or two? many thanks guys

From the dealers. Not sure if you'll manage to get them today though. The pipes can be a pain to seal properly, so make sure you clean everything up as much as possible before fitting the new seals.

just arrived back from the dealers there saying the next delivery is Saturday i dont really want to wait that long. so i went to eurocar parts on the way back home got some o rings there eventually but i think there like a micro mili meter skinnier width wise so ill fit them if it still leaks ill have to get to the dealers before 2 pm to order them
