Just seen the banner advert for Autohaus Dolby in Sheffield, advertising cambelt changes for VW vehicles.

 

Has anyone used this firm and, if so, are they OK ?  I presume that just because they are advertising on the Skoda Forums site, this is no endorsement for them ?

 

Prices are a good deal less than main dealer !  where I was quoted around £440 for a Scout cambelt (+water pump) change only recently.

 

Also, good idea to get alternator belt changed while everything is in bits ? shouldn't cost a lot ?

Can't say I've heard anything bad about them mate. Never used them personally but only because I do my own stuff. Wouldn't hurt to go down and check it out, would give you an idea of the calibre of the staff etc. I know if I was to look for something doing I'd prefer to try a place like this who look to be enthusiasts rather than just an all make garage.

Never used them but have used other Indies in Sheffield. However I am pretty certain that a couple of lads at work have used them with no problems.
