Wheels plasti dip, suggestions?

Featured Replies

Hello!

I have a black fabia with white roof.

Im thinking about painting my rims with plasti dip but not sure about the color yet. So far I liked blaze orange and teal.

Any ideas?

Also, can anyone help with photoshop?

My advice would be - DON't.

I once used PlastiDip to "pimp" a computer case, it was not a success, expensive and looked tatty. I doubt that it would last on wheel, but it is fairly easy to remove ;)

I plasti dipped my wheels white they looked ok from a distance, the only downside is they where a bugger to clean as the dirt really stuck to the dip. I've since peeled it off and plan to get a proper re-furb at some point.

Why not get them blasted and sprayed properly? I had mine done (on previous cars) at a place in Birmingham for £20 a wheel. Absolute bargain and they looked stunning!

Have a look at this thread

Sparkly did his Leon winter wheels with grey plastidip style stuff from CardipUK

They also do a pack of 4 can specifically for sets of alloys

you could also get a few cans extra and do the roof and mirrors in plastdip stuff instead of wrap.

depends on how confident you are in your DIY powers i guess

I suppose plasti-dipping is a good way of experimenting with a look - if you don't like the look, you can simply peel it off. A "proper" paint job is not so easily reversed.
