Nissan gtr!

Im not sure i agree its a girls bike to be brutally honest.

Alot of very skilled riders come back down to sv's because its a cheap, fun biike that you dont have to go twice the NSL to enjoy riding.

Friends that are better bikers than me and really into very fast bikes and fast riding tried the SV650 and gushed over it. They thought it was a fantastic bike.

Fazer 600 is another very good middleweight bike.

Dare I say these are bikes that are a bit like the Octy VRS, not the greatest or prettiest in any way but very very good in 99% of situations for 99% of people.

A good rider on a SV650 will run rings round a boaster on an R1.

  • I had a day at silverstone last year in boss fox's gtr. Man that was an impressive car the speed was epic!

  • If we are just talking about 0-60's then the GTR & many other quick cars do not require much skill at all to race through the gears. All automatic.Mine can get to 60 in just over 4 secs, and just

I'm a fan too. My brother had a SV650 as his first bike and it was great. Too under powered to keep up with (properly ridden) bigger stuff but good fun to ride.

Richard knows a friend of mine that has a GTR that currently runs 720bhp. I never liked them and knew nothing about them prior to him buying one. Now I am a massive convert. They trully are awsome cars. Just when you think the power should be "fizzling out" it keeps going and going. It really is an amazing car. Maybe not the fastest out there overall or on a given lap but, can be driven comfortably and safely day to day and still give 26-28mpg. From a car that can near on as damn it do 200mph, that isn't bad.

Yeah. Great fun on the corners, light and agile as you like, but on the long straights they do struggle to keep up with IL4's at high speed.

I opened my sv up coming off a round about ( obviously a private one ;)) in third gear at about 20mph and went, my mate on his zzr 600 dropped back abit at first (I presume he was stamping down gears) then it stayed a similar gap for a little bit, but when I got up to 120mph he came past me and kept goin.

sv1000 next maybe ;) haha.

A 720bhp GTR must be a riot. I'm guessing that's stage 1 with a few other bits?

They are amazin. Abit clunky and hard to manoeuvre around town, but as soon as you get out of town, you soon realise it's all worth while haha.

Not been in a Nissan GTR but would love a passenger ride in one.

My mate currently has a TT Supra running just over 400bhp, it's a bit of an animal even at those power figures, especially when it has no ABS or traction control.

When he guns it, it really throws you back into the seat, but just when you think the power is tailing off the second turbo spools up around the 6k mark and pins you back even further. I wouldn't say it would keep up with some of the big bikes but it wouldn't be far behind.

I've had a drive of it myself and I must admit I was a tad scared, mainly due to it being damp so I was short shifting at 6k but even so it was over NSL going into 4th.

For such a big car however it feels so light on the steering but they are very tail happy.

This thing :o

That would be a hand full. Atleast the gtr has some clever electrics to give you half a chance haha.

Went out in it again today. Went pretty quick over bendy road on the way back (not as quick as the first time mind) and had a look at the computer when dropped into town.

At best, it was doing 6mpg, and at worst it was 2mpg ( its got some clever bar chart thing on the centre computer). I didnt even think 2 was possible!

we filled it up (£85 with 99RON) and drove back (about 7 miles) and the fuel needle had noticeably dropped closer to 3/4 of a tank than 1/1.

Its just insane, in ever aspect haha.
