Featured Replies

Hi guys

Just wanted to say hello to you all

I Picked up my new car today from DM Keith at Leeds, Superb 170 DSG Elegance Combi... All I can say is wow!

Not sure exactly what is standard spec, but it has Heated front screen, Park assist, Phone, dimming mirror, Sunset glass, heated elec mem seats etc

Bit of a difference to the Citigo (obviously) So much kit and comfort... think Im going to enjoy this car immensely!

Been reading this section for a couple of weeks, but I know Ive got loads to learn still

I will start a project thread off when I have taken a few pics over the weekend, but here is a quick pic, parked up outside my mothers house

Thanks Martin, not sure whether to keep the lights standard, or upgrade the ones that can. Don't want any bulb warnings etc. so need to read up more before doing any

haha, thought about that, like thunderbird 4 inside thunderbird 2 :D

Thanks everyone for the comments, much appreciated :)

Non of the interior lights need to be CANBUS as they will not give an error... however they were pennies dearer than non CANBUS ones so I just bought them instead!

The outside ones however do need to be CANBUS, my DRL’s are CREE (pick ones that also have SMD’s around the side, so the reflector lights up as well)

Rear numberplate will throw an error even if you turn off the warning with VCDS, they need additional resistors or bulbs wire in (and then hidden inside the tailgate, yes it’s a hassle but the end result is worth it).

Finally if you want LED rear light units superskoda are now selling OE lights with their ECU that makes them plug and play (they are offering 20% off everything until 30th) not cheap but IIRC they end up around £270 with the discount, I would have bought these last night if I were keeping my Superb.

Thats a great list ive copied and pasted it for future reference! :)

Looks good Damo, welcome to the section. :)

What's the mileage?
