Hi, I have a mk1 octy vrs which has a Auq engine. My problem is the Oem spark plugs which are ngk pfr6q just won't fit!

The plugs which I stupidly didn't take a note of have a slightly larger thread?

I'm really confused as the head has auq stamped on it so those plugs should fit.

They are the right PN 

No they are correct in box as they are stamped on plugs and are second pair I got as I work for tps.....

They are definitely the right plugs but won't fit....I'm so confused as to what could be wrong?

Are you sure the plugs you took out are correct? as these maybe wrong and the new ones you bought are more likely correct.

 

ngk pfr6q are defo correct ones

 

Perhaps the ones fitted have unfortunately tapped the wrong thread in head?

It may have been tapped out bigger it the threads have previously been stripped.
