Hesitation

Featured Replies

On my drive in to work today I got a few hesitations both at low speed (1000 to 1500 rpm) and at about 50 mph as well. I have about a third of a tank of diesel that has run from full without any problem so I don't think it is bad fuel. This is my first diesel so would appreciate any suggestions

thanks

Were you using the same gears and everything as normal?  Is it close to service or past due one by any chance?

It was serviced in November and not due another one for over 18 months. Not sure what you mean about gears but it will have happened in several different ones if that is what you mean.

Could need a fuel filter change.

Fuel filter was changed on the service in November

Filled up at lunchtime and took a drive about and it seemed to behave so maybe the last bit of fuel in the tank was poor and that has now been diluted with normal stuff - just a guess. I will no doubt find out over the next few days

Yes I meant was it happening in different gears or just one.   but hopefully it will be fine now

Yes it was different gears but as you say hopefully it will be OK
