Air con help, with vcdd results

Featured Replies

Hi,

Air con stopped working this weekend, i suspected it needed a regas as it had been getting worse over last few uses.

Obviously its winter and cold so its not getting much use, but i did work when i got the car in september.

It has seem less effective in the recent bits of good weather than it used it be. ( this was 2-3 weeks ago that it worked ish)

So i played with vcds, got no fault codes relating to the air con its self just-

01271 -  Positioning Motor for Temperature Flap (V68)

30-10 -  Open or Short to Plus - Intermittent

01596 - Shareware Version. To Decode all DTCs

        30-10 - Please Register/Activate - Intermittent

01271 - Shareware Version. To Decode all DTCs

        29-10 - Please Register/Activate - Intermittent

01271 -  Positioning Motor for Temperature Flap (V68)

        28-10 -  Short to Plus - Intermittent

So loged measuring block 002. With aircon on and off, and in the second one rising to 2000rpm.

Basically i got 5bar refrigerant pressure, this did not rise with aircon on, and up to 80 % compressor load.

So the point of the post is, are these values normal, is there enough pressure?

Should the pressure rise with compressor on or is my compressed knacked?

Many thanks for any replies

Eddy
