Exhaust System warning light

Featured Replies

HI,

we have an 58 Roomster 2 1.4tdi, with 49K on the clock, fully serviced and cam belt changed at 40K.

We were driving along yesterday and as we were going up a hill in 5th at about 50mph the car started to lose power and would not go above 40mph even in a lower gear and no warning lights.

We stopped the engine and restarted an everything went fine, on the way home this happened again twice and on the last time the Exhaust System Warning light came on. we limped home to our local indie garage. who put the diagnostic kit on it and it came up Pressure differential error, The garage have reset the code and told us to drive again until the warning or the engine plays up again and then come in and they will check the diagnostic again.

After having previously a Renault Scenic MkII, 54 plate 1.5dci which in the end had to had 3 x turbo's, we are really worried and paranoid! about turbo's.

Does this error have anything to do with the turbo, or is it a sensor problem, any help would greatly be appreciated,

regards, Mark

EGR valve?

do you have a DPF on that car?

do you drive it gentle all the time? time for an Italian tune up?

do you have a DPF on that car?

58 Roomster does not have a DPF.

Of all the pre-facelift Roomster/Fabia range, only the Fabia 1.4TDI Greenline has a DPF.

Had something similar with our 06 Fabia. Turned out to be a faulty sensor in the exhaust.
