Some practical mods

Featured Replies

As well as all the styling changes & fitting paddleshift, I thought I'd post up some of the more practical mods I've done over the last week or so...

Sill protectors:

Brodit phone holder - perfectly placed to be just within the reach of the MDI cable:

Footwell net storage:

Have also fitted the parcel shelf net/pocket thing & front mudflaps to complement the rear flaps I ordered as an option with the car.

Next on the list - underseat drawer for the driver's side.

Where did the little net come from? Looks a good idea!

The net is a genuine Skoda part. Requires drilling 9 small holes and putting some circlips on the other side of the plastic.

I did actually order it in black but annoyingly they supplied a grey one and I couldn't be bothered to change it. If it annoys me enough I may change to black but it doesn't look too out of place next to the silver swage trim.

correct

Loads on eBay....

Enjoy posts like this, ideas always interesting. My one is to utilize the zip bag supplied with top-up oil. Stuck Velcro on hard plastic under (electric) drivers seat so zip bag stored there with wet wipes etc leaving extra space in glove box.

Another bag Velcroed to carpet under passenger seat.

Photos attached.

Personally was not convinced to put the vRS versions that are in thread 1 given it is not one, & not convinced the red version would go with the colour of the car, so opted for these.

Look nice. Where did you find them?

I added them to the Octy and always thought they added a bit of interest to the interior :)

Superskoda or Skodadop sell them.

I got my "Yeti" seat adjuster badges from Superskoda.

Why?  :giggle:

Eh,... Cause Wardy asked where to get them.

They will just take away the complete blank plastic mini wall as you get in the car.

Off now to get frilly blinds for the rear windows  -   :giggle:  :D

I agree - I've fitted a few little touches like the adjuster badges, chrome frame around HVAC controls & cup holders, replaced the driver's side 4-way electric window switch with THESE - and have just sent off my centre console for re-finish in piano black. These small changes just lift the interior a bit - rather than being faced with a wall of matt-black whenever you get in.

I would like some chrome frames around the airvents - I've found aluminium ones but I think they look a bit cheap - a nice bead of chrome would look classy but I've not managed to find anyone producing these yet.
