600x300x76 toyosport cooler is perfect

I think only intercooler is avalable so from where can I get the perfect fitment pipes and hose for this 600*300*76 intercooler ?

200714376954 ebay item number welly cooler

Is that the one that you use? What pipe work did you use though? I've seen someone user cheap silicone pipes for joining the hard pipe, and the just came off under boost.

Yes which piping will use for the xenon type Vrs mk1 ??

You will need various pipes..depending how you fit it..

Forge...meh..

Welly is the way!

I've been into forge, they went sell a kit. And to make up the bits needed is shockingly almost as much as the complete forge kit.

Well Yeh they won't sell a welly as it's not there product..and if you ask for an equivalent it will be £££??

Just buy a welly for what 70-80

Pipes are going to cost like 130??

I made up a system on my lcr (and octavia) using a welly, decent hoses from ash, decent clamps, forge map pipe, for 230...

So it ain't like 600? For the forge...

I hate to come across helpless here, but I've spent hours at this stage trying to find piping kits, and either the pipes have no lip at the end so they'll separate under big load, or that kits may not have enough piping, one kit was two half meter sections of straight, 45, 75, 90 bends.

Where did you get your gear for piping it?

Who /what /where is ash?

And to clarify, when I said forge won't sell a kit, I just mean piping kit.

Forget using $hitty ebay kits..there rubbish..

You will need various pipes and angles..ASH off eBay or mr silicone..again eBay.

I would get a few different angles..

Sorry I can't be of more help.

If you have bought eBay kit/s you can always use some pipe work..

If the ends keep poping off, take a pair of mole grips and bend the ends outwards..about 10mm in.

Trust me..it works upto 2 bar..

:)

Yeh forge won't help...there pipe work is for a twinpass intercooler.

#rubbish

Thanks mate, I've a fair idea what to get now! In your opinion /experience, is it better to have a cooler with the inlet and outlet on the same side, or opposite sides?

Opposite sides flows better

Thanks mate, I've a fair idea what to get now! In your opinion /experience, is it better to have a cooler with the inlet and outlet on the same side, or opposite sides?

Best to get cooler with inlet /outlet opposite sides as the flow is much improved

This is the reason why Forge struggles at higher end power as the flow has to go all around the intercooler and back out almost where it came from.

With the flow either end it is not looping around the cooler so much and potentially less lag.

I have a Forge and paid a lot less than Forge quote as you get better deals and discount and i also liked the just fit and install as it came with all the hoses and modded crash bar so that was my requirement. Also as I am a fussy git I hate the fact most other cooler you need a metal pipe going over the car in various angles. Something the twin pass coolers won't suffer from as you keep the std pancake pipe and routings.

However as I have moved my tuning and thought onwards it is now a case of better flow and tuning potential offer looks and twin pass inability to perform as well on tuned cars, so my Forge is to soon be replaced by a Welly cooler when I get spare time as i want even more power.

^^^this^^^

Flow is the key..

I'm still kind of scratching my big hairy head as to what kit to get for piping, one hate the idea of my having enough pipe when my daily is in pieces, and the idea of a messy fit...

Thanks for the advice lads. I appreciate it, keep it coming to this noob!

Wish someone would start selling a homebrew kit. Be so much easier and wouldnt mind helping out a fellow briskodaian.

I'll second that. Would make my life so much easier right now!

Your missing a gap in the market here..

:)

A reasonably price at of pipes made to fit would probably out sell forge from what seen lately..
