Shakespeare County raceway this weekend? RWYB?

Featured Replies

I have a vague memory of people saying they were going to this. Any update?

I am still tempted to go, but don't know which of the 2 days would be best.

Also, ultimately, it will be weather dependant and I won't be going at all if the weather is looking inclement.

Not sure what the forecast is looking like, I think at the moment its settled.

You already know I will be there mate, going on the Saturday.

Will be with a few tuned fiesta St's, tuned focus st, fiat 500 and a few other motors lol. Hope to show em abit of diesel power :D

I couldn't remember who said who was going and when :D

OK, I will aim for Saturday too - Should hopefully have my new map flashed on so shall see what 2.7 bar of boost can do.  Going to be on road tyres though.

Nice one :)

Its only abit of fun from my point of view so only got road tyres to run lol. Will you have a passanger seat in place ? Wouldnt mind feeling the difference in the extra horses you have under the bonnet :)

Not sure if this applies to you car or not anymore Jase but just incase:

"7. Intercooler spray bars not to be used. The track policy is perfectly clear on this, any car dropping fluids will NOT be allowed to race!"

Apart from that the rules seem fair and the blokes who check over the car are sound :D

Just sent you an invite via facebook for the day ;)

I'm going down on the Sunday with a few mates. Couple of tuned fabias and my mates evo! Should be good hopefully, shame I can't go on the Saturday! Olly

My spray is all inside. so no worries there. :)

Yeah, only fun for me, and yes will have passenger seat in for passenger rides for fun.  If I can match my last time of 13.4 @ the pod I will be happy.

I'll probably move everything out the back though.  Oh, and inflate the rears to 45psi and the fronts down to about 17psi :D

Interesting info re the tyres mate. Is 17 the magic number ?

If I can get sub 14 I will be over the moon. Though I suspect my inexperience of launching from a standstill will be my downfall. I'm more used to a rolling start lol.

Nah, I just plucked that number out the sky - I think I'll leave mine around 15.

I can't launch for toffee either - Be lucky to get a sub 2.2 60 foot, but once she's rolling, she's awesome :D

I tend to take it easier on the launches as found the gentler I am on the start, the better traction actually is.  Fine balance between traction and all out wheelspin.

I'm still planning to go on Saturday Jason, I'll give you a text Friday night or something and meet you somewhere.

I'm not expecting mega stuff from the R32, I've read a few figures on the internet, but there doesn't seem to be many from the UK. Also, I'm not too sure on how DSG will cope, could just use launch control I guess :)
