Pastyboy's...

Have you got a spare set of donor seats or your seats are so manky you wish to donate them to conversion ?

You will need some before you begin. The rest, following pastyguide really isn't that hard, I found the biggest hurdle was realising that you just force the trim out which has plastic retaining clips.

There is no exact fit so particularly for the rears its deciding how to best bodge the material to look like it matches - I did mine and its pretty close, but I did some ad-hoc trimming where necessary etc, and sewing up/extending/pulling around the headrests as there is some deviations between the golf and fabia fitment.

- its kind of common sense and more a job for a upholsterer than something you can discuss on a forum.

The fronts are easy and just require removing the seats, dismantling/removing all the trim and bolts and just splitting them in half.

You then mate your existing seat "upper" to the fabia donor bases with the changed covers.

Like the rears you just remove the covers by pushing out the plastic clips that hold on the seat covers to the seat.

Oh so as not to mislead, when I mean force the trim out, I mean the seat covers have a plasic trim around the edges so they are held in really firmly, its the primary security for the seat covers into the seat bases as its held in tension. By levering out the plastic trim attached to the leather/material you are releasing the tension so you can remove the covers.

Not to be mistaken with the hard plastic trim, which has several fairly obvious screws and quite easiy to see where they are retained if you remove them logically and don't be a muppet and overforce anything.
