My brothers LANDROVER DEFENDER 90 has been stolen between 2300 10/4/14 and 11/4/14 0700 from Beverley East Yorkshire. Must have been taken on a trailer as not very quiet when running.

200tdi. With galvanised bulkhead head vents welded up. Come up winch. Cooper stt tyres.

Good luck in recovering the vehicle, grips my sh£t that thieving tosspots can't keep their mitts off other folk's property.

 

 

 

Like the Stolen VW Register there is a group on Facebook dedicated to circulating stolen Landies (Stolen Landrovers). May be worth affiliating/ advertising the theft with them. The VW register has seen several recoveries, just needs a bit of promotion is all. The VW register now gets thousands of shares when a stolen motor pops up.

Problem with defenders is they are easy to split into parts.

Looking at it (and the galvanised bulkhead) it's got some good parts unfortunately so I'd scour the usual places for bits rather than expecting to find the whole thing.

Assuming there is a way of identifying the parts, I used to stamp mine with the reg number.

Thing is they live away from the main road at the end of a cul de sac so was probably stolen to order

Not as far as im aware. Thinks he was followed home from the pub. Also had 1.5k worth of tools in it
