Have any of you had any direct comparison of the boot sizes of Golf and Octavia estates?

 

Looking at images on Autotrader, the Golf seems somewhat shorter, but are the images just being deceptive?

 

It seems far easier to find a PD130 Golf estate with the right options than it does an Octavia. ESP and maxidot seem to be standard on the SE, but I've very rarely seen either of these specced on an Octavia.

MK4 golf estate - Seats down : 1470 litres of luggage space

                            Seats up : 460 litres of luggage space

 

Octavia Estate - Seats down : 1740 litres of luggage space

                        Seats up : 610litres of luggage space
