I want to fit 20" wheels and keep the 18" for winter tyres

Hello and welcome, there shouldn't be any issue fitting 20" wheels, so long as they're not too wide and the lower profile tyre you need to run may affect the comfort.

I assume you are doing this just for cosmetic reasons and are prepared to put up with the harsher ride and (much?) higher cost of tyres.
