Painting the callipers

Featured Replies

Ok............Just ordered bigger brakes for my Furbie vRS and been reading up on them....I'm going to paint them green is there any part which shouldn't be painted, around seals etc.....Cheers Andy

Dont paint the caliper piston/seals, bleed nipple, or where the hose attaches. I painted everything else with a brush and they are fine.

I used Foliatec green on my calipers, look really good, in my opinion.

Don't know if this helps. I don't think I painted anything I shouldn't have? :D:rofl:

 Look even better on the car. ;)

i didnt kno u had to take em off! thought u could just paint :P

A couple of minor points from me.

I removed the hoses and nipples and drained out all the fluid I could.

The black rubber bolt shrouds just pull out and make it easier.

I masked the nipple and and then screwed it back in.

Some pics of mine will show some bits I masked out -
