Cheers Rainbowfire, the ones in ebay I linked are UK Road Legal is that the same with the ones that you linked?

As far as I am aware all Dectane kit is road-legal across the EU. Their lights look identical to the ones in your link, so much so that, in my opinion, the ebay seller is just re-selling the Dectanes.

I had a look at both and I think you are right, cheers for that, saves a bit of money!

Just make sure they are for RHD vehicles as the rest of Europe is LHD. There is a difference.

IIRC (and am always prepared to be corrected on this) if the DRLs dim down by 50% or so, they can also be used as sidelights (as on newer VAG cars).

 

There used to be a device called DRLR2 from a company called GenLabs that did this, for the princely sum of £6. Sadly they seem to have vanished :(

ill get some pics up at the weekend. but does anyone know if there is something i can get that will dim the leds when i turn my sidelights on and yet still have them come on full with the ignition and possibly dim them when the indicators are on either for one side or both dim with either indicator on.

Not keen personally

As again got to make sure they are for RHD, as the beam pattern for LHD is different and will dazzle on coming traffic.

@1:55 the back of both my sets of headlights don't look like that.

 

Looks like the LEDs are supposed to be DRLs, however the Pre-FL headlight looms don't have wiring for DRLs. Is this covered anywhere in the instructions, or are you left to your own devices?

the leds are wired as sidelights but ive ordered a box of ebay which takes a live feed and a feed from the sidelight wiring so they are full brightness with ignition and 50% with sidelight switch on to use them as drls and sidelights bit there is no instructions at all with them the leds have a live and earth wire at the back outside of the lights with bullet connectors to easily wire them up diffrently. after the height adjustment motors are swapped from old lights to new ones they are plug and play took 20minutes to do both fitting the hids in aswell.
