brake parts VAG vs. other famous manufacturers

Featured Replies

Hello Everybody,

I interested in your opinions about VAG brake parts versus other famous manufacturer parts.

The VAG brake pads and brake disc really better (brake effect, long lasting) than the products of other great past famous manufacturers? For example Brembo, Ferodo, ATE, Textar, Bosch?

Are there differences between the products of VAG and the other famous manufacturers? (Except for the price of course)

What are your opinions?

Thanks in advance.

(Of course the braking related things depends on the driver's leg. Lead - soled shoes or not.)

Hi, I used Pagid disc and pads from Eurocarparts, to be fair I was after Oem parts and I'd have bought them but even though ECP knew that they still highly recommend them as oem quality at a better price, also have read good comments about them on the net and other forums what ever the car.

Since VAG only assembles cars, and does not make brake pads (nor do they make windscreen wipers, interior filters, tires etc), a decent normal set from other manufacturers will work just fine.

I thought Pagid WERE OEM suppliers of brake pads to VW/Audi.

Another one for pagid discs as they come with grey anti corrosion coating like the original vw/skoda ones so non contact surfaces dont rust.

I was under the impression that they are made to O.E spec but not necessarily a O.E supplier. I've looked on the net and can't find anything to say they are, even on their own website, they just quote that the products are manufactured to O.E specification/standards, but I may be wrong, they are good stuff all the same!

Another vote for Pagid. Look much nicer due to the coating on the non contact surfaces. Easily as good as OE.
