Alloys - New, Replace or Refurb?

Featured Replies

I need to refurb or replace my oem 14 inch Alloys on my TDi Elegance (Westlake ones??)

Ideally I'd like to upgrade to  a set of 16inch Spiders but prices are stupid really and I'm not sure how it would affect the drive/comfort.

I've seen some nice 15 inch new ones on rimstyle.com but the car would no longer be on original Skoda wheels (I know its OCD!) but for £450 with new tyres why spend all the time refurbing my own. I could sell them on after and recoup some cash.

Also, does any know if the Skoda centre caps will fit aftermarket alloys?

Any advice or ideas welcome especially if you've got some Spiders at a reasonable price!

Anyone?

Fitting bigger alloys will obviously look better and ride harder. You shouldn't notice too much difference in comfort, although if you currently drive over potholes and continue to you will notice!!

Price wise, look for some 15'' alloys and tyres, various ones fit from audi, seat, Skoda and vw so you aren't limited to after market rubbish with budget tyres.
