    A few from me ....

  • There was a few Chavved up stoners who I heard several times throughout the day saying I've never seen so many effin skodas. It would seem we are still safe from the Neanderthals

Bearing in mind the stirrings I get when I think of the like of Courtenay Cox or Teri Hatcher, this stand was rather disappointing...

Edit - Finally fixed the picture I tried to post from my mobile

Not sure it was worth the wait

Nice work Mark! :)

edit: didn't know you had an off.

Yup, tried to make like the famous "flatout" Fiat Coupé at Camp.

touching cloth doesn't cover it, from what I hear from those who saw it I was rather sideways, we got all four on the grass at quite some speed but caught traction just in time to avoid the crash barrier and shot back out on track in front of someone who had the good grace to be running decent brakes.  You can just make out a cloud of dust and clods of earth on the video before the Scooby passes me back.

Wow. :peek:

Rear wheel drive and it'd have been game over I suspect.

Fair play you got it back on the black stuff!

I saw it Richard, it was bloody close!

Actually makes me feel a little better about when I tried to overtake the Silver (450bhp) Octy and got a bit close to you Mark.

I backed off a bit coming out of Camp as there wasn't space, losing the speed advantage, then when he moved over a bit I went for the overtake not knowing how quick it was.

End result was that we were still quite close at the bend and you came across from the left and we got a bit squeezed.

I just eased off enough to avoid you and hugged the apex but was aware I got a bit close, which I still feel guilty about.

(And I got a telling off from the marshall too)

I was expecting to wizz past the silver Octy and slot back into formation, but have since found out it's mega-powerful.

Sounds like you had a bit of a baptism of fire on your first time out, but glad that overall you enjoyed the day. :)

you mean what happened after this Richard?

I remember it well, I was thinking "blimey that Nissan is loud"...................."oh ****"

But to be honest, you were only at my side a split second, so it's fairly academic, I hadn't given it a second thought. Certainly not sure it was worth a telling off.

From what Rob said, after seeing your car control when the 350Z span out in front of you two in the wet, I was in no danger from a simple overtake.

Yes

It looks closer than it is on the video because a lot of people aren't aware how quickly it stops.

I covered the brake, but as you went a bit wider and I had the Octy up my trumpet I just went round the corner.

I think after Rob (your brother?) went out with me he got a better understanding of the car's capabilities... fortunately. :whew:

1min 45 of Dave (Sharkriders) video in the other thread for anyone who doesn't know what we are on about.

3 abreast was good from the spectator point of view. Bet it was a different experience inside the cars. All track-goers came away unscathed and thats the important bit. Yeah so Marks car wanted some grass on its mudflaps to match the colour. Bit of camouflage thats all :D

I WILL be on track next time!

Do you think it was the difference in tyres front to back Mark?

Nope, I took the corner like a proper tw*t

I seem your off Sparkly, we were stood at the back just by that corner Joel was there aswell. Was extremely close but well done on getting it back on track!

We were amazed at how quick you were going compared to the other cars :)

1st session:

yeah, I was there during all that! lol... it was all fine as far as I'm concerned, there was pleantly of room, and we all knew where everyone was..... (three (4?!)  abreast! lol)

thats why I only go on the brisky sessions though, i trust us allot more than the "unknown" of some of the others! lol...

Don't suppose anyone got a pic or vid Dan?  I'm quite keen to see what it looked like from outside of the car

I really enjoyed that session, I was starting to recognise some corners/get lost less  :D and find a bit of rythm, it felt a lot faster inside the car than either me or Rob had managed in the Brisky sessions.

that just shows the difference in the performance between cars! pmsl!
