hi chaps,

towing my caravan recently,i suffered a huge power drop after approx. 85 miles into jouney, managed to get to site, unhiched van got everything set up.took car for a drive and drove ok,

next day called out the AA,he found nothing wrong with the car but advised changing the fual filter, and fill up with better fual from a petrol station, and not from a supermarket, and said he has had problems with cars using to mutch supermarket fual,so I took on his advise, changed filter and fual.

the car has been ok since, but am not realy convinced this was the problem.

has eny one got eny ideas what else to look for.

Agree.

Sounds like it might have gone into limp mode. The usual culprit for this is sticking turbo vanes.

Bet he thought he looked a right clever **** knocking supermarket fuel, actually made himself look like an arse

Regards all
