26 grand?

For a sierra??????

Its nice though, and lets face it to some 26k isnt really a lot of money to own a piece of motoring history!

My mum had one in black, great cars.

The vehicle is still registered in previous owners name and from November 2003 to present time I have only covered 23 miles and car has been stored in a car **** or heated garage.
I suppose that's one way to keep the number of keepers down... :)

Kirkwall is a long way to go for a test drive too!!

Can always remember one of them overtaking me and disappearing into the distance very quickly when it came out it was THE fast car.....still pretty quick now

Spotted that a while back. They also have a mint RS1600i in. Imagine having those in your garage? Hmmm....

Rather have this piece of motoring history. :)

Clicky

:D

It should be in a museum, or being driven. I cannot see the point of buying cars like that in order to store them in a heated garage forever :thumbdwn:

Very nice car and I think my next door neighbour may have even had one! He replaced it with an XR4i and then and Xr4x4. :D

I seem to remember hearing they claimed the title of most nicked/nickable car a few years on the trot too.....

Chris

I'll take the DeLorean, no metion of the Flux capacitor in the spec tho :P

Amazing how basic they look now.Think I prefer the escort cosworth. As said though.Car= for driving.

Anyone got a vRS in storage?

nasty!, mum n dad had a white one yuk yuk yuk! :o

I'd have the sierra over the delorean! its a great car! 0-60 in 6 seconds and 150 mph... (it is the 500 model) sweet for a car so old........

Very nice. But as aready mentioned. Needs to be DRIVEN! not stored.

If I remember right the RS500 was built by Aston Martin, well a RS made into an RS500.

Tickford....although I know they were associated with AM.

It wasn't built by Aston Martin, Ford didn't own them at the time, it escapes me at the minute who did the conversions, but I think it was Tickford.

Easy way to tell a true RS500 from a fake?

The corner of the battery tray will have been hacksawed (yes, really!) off to get the fuel rail for the second set of injectors in...

Edited to add: Must type faster, Must type faster, Must type faster, Must type faster, Must type faster...

That must be it.

I'm I right thinking the second set of injectors were never used, unless tuned eg Touring car.

So is the hacksawing a mark of an original, or a fake?
