Need to fix RNS510. Any opinions on CarSystems.pl?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had previously used services of carsystems.pl?

http://www.carsystems.pl/rns510-error-202-black-screen-repair-service,id509.html

I've messed up my RNS510 in 2009 Skoda Superb and I'm considering sending it for repair.

Furthermore, does anyone know any other services that fix RNS510 that I could go to?

Thanks

Cezary

Have a look at these guys

I had my Columbus supplied and fitted by them and received an excellent service. They do columbus repairs etc as well

Used them many times. I would trust them with this aswell.

I would however not really trust the mailman/courierservice with this package...I would find a courier service where you can insure your package for a fixed price (most couriers only insure "up to X £" or the first couple of 100 £ are on you)

Honestly I think you'd be better off with a local service for this. I certainly wouldn't feel comfortable sending off my Columbus. But carsystems is reliable!

I've heard they are not so good, from my friend. I recommend using a Czech service - Grygy (who is delivering the RNS's as well) - PM to me i'll give you phone no.

Hazydayz have been recommended to me as well. Drop 'adamal' on here a PM as he used them recently. Search for his thread detailing his Columbus problem and resolution.

CarSystems.pl are great sellers and I'll recommend them for that, but I don't know anyone who has had repairs done by them.

I spoke with a guy called Richard at the Car Audio Technics and he said, after learning abut the symptoms, that fixing my unit could cost between £98 - if no parts are required; and £250 - £300 - if it needs a new PCB (whatever that is).

He's website is here http://www.cat-essex.com/

I've also contacted CarSystems.pl and they quoted 150 euros + shipping. I've heard about them a few times, always good things. But you're right Too Tall, I'm worried about the shipping. It would cost me a lot just to get it there and it may get lost somewhere... for example, in someone else's car on its way back.

I've tried to upgrade FW on my 2012 B unit and I managed to make it unresponsive, refusing to eject the DVD and displaying a black screen. I've tried everything, button combinations, disconnecting the battery - nothing helped. So now I have to send it somewhere.

I will contact the hazzydayyz (thanks Berniebloke) and see what they say.

If anything else comes to your mind guys, please let me know.

Thanks

Hazzy Dayz are excellent and they really know their stuff. Ask for Gareth or Greg. Top blokes.
