Adjusting headlights for right hand driving

Featured Replies

My Mk III Octavia Elegance is equipped with standard halogen headlights.  The instruction manual explains in detail how to adjust xenon headlights for RHD but remains quiet on the subject for halogen lights. I do not want to have to rely on a Skoda agent to adjust the headlights each time I wish to go abroad, and then when I return.  In the absence of a mechanical adjustment I may have to rely on black sticky-backed plastic.  But it's knowing where to stick it (no pun intended) which is the question.  Does someone have a headlight diagram which shows the position?  All offers of help will be appreciated.

There is no mechanical adjustment on any car that I know of that has halogen headlights - you need to use deflectors.

As for how to fit them... there will be instructions with the deflectors themselves.  As you can get many different ones, it would be impossible to cover all of them in the car manual.

Aren't there levers inside the headlights to switch the beam to the other side, there was on the mkII.
