If i may - just watch out on this type. especially on exteriors. I used to use these a lot but had quite a few fail.

I think heat (near headlights) and damp (sometimes an issue on number plate) can be the killer. Thought to mention folks.

If they fit in the desired location - i would recommend these - they are superb and installed on all my cars now.

Pricey - but so far....100% reliable and very bright too.

I'm not affiliated to these sellers; but use them a lot and have had no issues.

Hi wire,

The festoon for the rear is not listed as compatible on the eBay page.

Are you sure this is the good one?

Ade, is the intensity much brighter with these then?

Your mod to have my rear interior light come on has made a good difference when getting in/out at night but the lighting level still seems a bit low to me. Also, are any of these bulbs the right grade for the boot light?

i also tried with led bulbs in my car, but when i measured the current with voltmeter it still showed (closed and locked car) in front dome 0.4V and in the boot 0.15V. Because i didn't want to have flat battery in a few days(weeks) i took them out.

in my previous car (golf 5) the leds were completly off when i locked the car, not like in škoda where they are still a little on.

are leds in your car completely off or are they still a little bright?

My friend had in his van led strip installed and it drained his battery, becase the strip was still a little lit when he locked the van at night.

Was it because of the LED itself?

Did you check voltage with normal bulb?

That is sad...

Maybe it was bad luck?

I think I'll try it anyway. I still want it and it doesn't cost that much :p

And with your help I know I have to check voltage. Thanks for your sharing :)

Anyway, how do you open your festoon correctly?

Can you confirm how many bulb I need?

From the pictures I took I need 3 for the front and 2 for the rear. Am I right?

you need 2x 5w5 for front dome and one 41mm festoon

2x 36mm festoon for back dome

1x 5w5 for glove compartment and the same for boot

what do you mean, "how do you open your festoon correctly?"?

very gently, pry it open with a screwdriver (the see through front plastic, back dome popups out all together)

Hey guys,

I've received my kit today.

Here is what it looks like (before and after): https://imageshack.com/a/vLrz/1

Sorry for the quality as I had to disable the flashlight, but you will be able to see the difference.

For my part, I'm very happy!

I was afraid it could be too white for my kid but it's really nice.

Not a big change in brightness in the boot though :(

Here is what I've bought:

Festoon CAN-BUS 42mm 4 SMD LED 10x42 bulb WHITE for the middle front (1)

Festoon CAN-BUS 36mm 3 SMD LED 10x36 bulb (radiator) WHITE for the rear (2)

501 CAN-BUS T10 W5W 5 SMD LED bulb WHITE for the middle sides (2), for the box (1), and for the boot (1).

Installation was easy, just be gentle and beware of the heat if you let the lights on too long.

I've got this kit for €15, shipping fees included (UK to BE) :-)))

He told me I've got it 50% off.

If you want I can ask me for some lower prices for you too.

Didn't check the voltage as they are CAN-BUS so I forgot.

I will check them anyway, even if it's been 2 days now and my battery is still good.

I'll let you know.
