In the market

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I'm in the market for a fabia vrs. I'm unsure which to get. A special edition or a normal one. I love leather interior in the se, but are they really worth the extra?

Any help would be much appreciated

You can get a normal vrs with leathers in but they harder to come by but second hand leathers have started to come up fairly regular. If a se is in your budget probably worth getting if you like the colour as it should hold value abit better or get a normal one cheaper and get custom leathers put in

I have leather in mine and it's yellow which is rarer than the SE, also it's for sale ;)

Why you selling it???? I saw a yellow one today they do look good, I think I'd sooner have a yellow one than a se

Need to free up some cash to help towards a house deposit.

Surely more than 1000 yellow ones were made? :)

Supposedly something like 960 where registered.

Wow - pretty impressive!

Always see in order of most popular, black, silver, then red.

Three blue se in my area (including mine) and one yellow so makes sense.

Double post

Yup yellow ones are rarer!

Even more so sprint yellow ones

With the exception of one or two on autotrader. I can't say I have ever seen a yellow one. Not on the road that's for sure, although I have only ever seen one SE other my own. The Sprint yellow was introduced later on wasn't it as a kind of 'facelift' to the original yellow?

In regards to the original poster:

The reason I chose an SE over a standard vRS was mainly the fact that if I bought a standard one, every time I saw an SE (still haven't seen another one...) I would think: "FFS... Wish I'd of saved a bit more to buy one of those"

They are more expensive that is for sure, if a car is a car to you, then it may be too much of a difference in price for leather seats, your own number and it being a nice blue colour :/

Doubt there will still be 1000 on the road in my opinion, must of been a fair few written off and scrapped/broken for parts.

Have you test driven a vRS yet ?

Yer sprint was only out for the final 1-2 years so a lot rarer. I shouldn't say it but I actually prefer the brighter yellow now.

No way!! Joe I'm gutted.... I take great pleasure seeing your car every day on the way home! It's an absolute stunner!! If I had the cash I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Notice you were being followed b a red Ferrari on the way home today... to be honest I still preferred your motor! But I'm not a "modern" ferrari man.

Should of given him a nice fresh breath of DIRTY DIESEL

It'd of given him something to clean ;)

Sprint Yellow is awesome, but then I am ever so slightly biased. Colour coded door handles (standard) as well you know.....

When you see them side by side the lemon yellow is a lot nicer!

Shame it fades

I haven't test driven one yet. I'm going to look at one in Plymouth next week. I love the look of joes vrs but I'm reluctant to buy a modded car as I have a corsa vxr. I'm just wanting a nice clean Un modded example. Although I have been looking at photos of joes every day ;-)

There are a lot standard - unmeddled examples

Although there are a lot of meddled examples too!

You will find one eventually. I spent a good few months searching for mine before I found the one I bought.

Get a test drive before you really set your heart on one though. You might hate it!

Totally legitimate and logical reason, but I guarantee you when you're sat on the couch in your new house, you'll wish you never sold your fab lol

Am I right in saying it's the same engine as the ibiza fr tdi?

If it is the same age as the mk1 fabia's - then it will be the same, either the asz or blt engine. Mk1 vRS and the Ibiza Fr are both tuned to 130 ponies i think.

Mines the "rare" sprint yellow - with leather - and I could see myself (reluctantly) selling in a few months when I get my dads newer octy (hopefully!)

I do think its nicer than the duller/yellow lemon. Also colour coded handles etc

Ummm unsure now! I love the yellow but I also like the blue of the se! Decisions decisions. What's the benefits of an se over a yellow one?

If being less cool is a benifit then that's one ;)
