Fabia Vrs Tdi PD Bottom boost pipe fix.

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.

Yesterday my fabia VRS Tdi blew off the bottom boost pipe, the little tight 90 degree one the comes off the intercooler. So had a look about and it seems I'm not alone on this. When I pulled the pipe off completely I found the problem was that the little locking lugs on the metal insert were slipping back past the OEM locking clip as they seems flat compared to the other end. So I gave these lugs a couple of gentle taps from behind with a small sharp chisel to open them up enough for the clip to grip them when you put it back together. Sorry if this has been done/suggested previously. But if not it's worth a look if happens to you and cost nothing to sort.
