does anyone actually like this look?

Featured Replies

Im all for droppin a car but it has to be done practally. Surely this look ruins the ride, wears tyres quicker and makes handling worse. Whats peoples opinions on this look? That much camber looks rediculous to me. Screenshots_2014-05-07-13-14-15.png

  • It looks crap and broken.  And the driver will be constantly bleating about how the  Police victimise him as well no doubt.

  • Awwww that Hitler car just looks depressed :(

  • Cars are for driving, not taking pictures of.  All I've seen is photos of where young dumb and full of ---- lads have deliberately handicapped their cars so they look (what they consider to be..) n

Sons little seat arosa sits like that from standard

It just looks to me as though the driver and his passengers are extremely fat and the boot is full of donuts.

Its got that wide back end for the rwd

:/

My mates done a similar thing to his civic

Its horrible to be in. The ride is soo harsh.

He also seems to think it handles better. Its much worse though imo. Its terrible in the wet. Slides everywhere

If he's happy then fair play to him.  Personally I think it looks terrible and no doubt feels shocking to drive but I see a few like that round here.  It's all about the look and to hell with the dynamics of the car.

Just looks broken. Handling must be terrible.

Such a shame as well, when Fiestas handle so well out of the box!

Also can't keep in a lane with it, by the looks of the photo.....

Rather like this:

I've seen it in motion and anything thicker than a rizla on the road causes problems.

Saw an older beemer just tonight like that. You could hear tyres rubbing as he went round the car park.

There's a mkV golf I've seen which rusty wheel arches where the stupid wide 19" wheels have rubbed the paint off.

I really don't get the whole stanced thing

But each to there own i suppose.

Imo its the latest craze and incarnation of mods such as the whale tail of the 90's and the lexarse lights of the naughties.

It will be a fad that will soon be over and in 10 years time everyone will look back and think wtf was i thinking :o

I think im starting to get too old for modifying my cars. Last week i raised my car up onto standard suspension.

There's altering stance, changing geo, going for a different setup etc - and then there's just ruining things. Think this one is firmly in the latter category

Thats not much at all. . From behind mine looks quite cambered. . And I haven't done anything to give it extra camber.

If you ain't rubbin' you ain't dubbin'

Unless you want to drive it home!

It's just the scene kids.

Looks horrendous, what's the point of a car if you have to carefully plan your route to avoid bumps etc. Or be careful about taking a corner too fast or if theres a slight pothole in the road. It's not a car then it's just something to get attention.

Same with people who are crazy about keeping a car clean. Once read a thread where a guy wouldn't use his windscreen wipers to clear his windscreen because he didn't want to get water marks on his car!

/\ i am a clean freak but not to the extent of say detailling world members who take pictures of their latest vacuum cleaners and leaf blowers!

Never done that 2 bucket nonsense either but i do like to give my car a nice wash now and again

I'm ashamed to admit this but I can appreciate his OCDness.  When I've cleaned the car I'm reluctant to use the spray as it'll streak along the roof.  Also, I've now got headlamp washers and I'm even more aware as it sprays all over the bloomin' front!  Black cars eh?

Do I need help?

Its the black cars they are a nightmare.

Even a bit of water from say the wing mirror falls out and its as if you have drove through a muddy puddle as it covers the side in water marks

Nout wrong with keeping your car/bike clean!

After a 5 hour washing, drying, clay baring, polishing and waxing, the last thing i need is windscreen washer fluid sprayed over my roof.

I too am OCD haha

It's just the scene kids.
