does anyone actually like this look?

Featured Replies

Funniest thing I've seen is a slammed lupo, some lad looking the business for the ladies on his stretched and stanced rubber grounding out on a speed hump and needing help pushing it off.

Left a lovely oil slick and a group of young ladies that'd wet themselves laughing

  • It looks crap and broken.  And the driver will be constantly bleating about how the  Police victimise him as well no doubt.

  • Awwww that Hitler car just looks depressed :(

  • Cars are for driving, not taking pictures of.  All I've seen is photos of where young dumb and full of ---- lads have deliberately handicapped their cars so they look (what they consider to be..) n

Thats not much at all. . From behind mine looks quite cambered. . And I haven't done anything to give it extra camber.

Im all for droppin a car but it has to be done practally. Surely this look ruins the ride, wears tyres quicker and makes handling worse. Whats peoples opinions on this look? That much camber looks rediculous to me. Screenshots_2014-05-07-13-14-15.png

Not that extreme.. friday night cruze.. got the local fat bird in the back for a bit of a ride...tbh bonking the local munter is probably why his suspension is like that...

Extreme camber along with stretch tyres finished with a car crash through halfrauds. Barry Boy fodder.. love it..

Nothing wrong with keeping it clean..  But 5 hours?  Bloody hell, I can wash dry, vacuum and dust the vRS and SWMBO's Monte Carlo in that time and still sit and watch a film with the little one afterwards.

You're not doing them right then, either that or your OCD needs to be allowed to progress! Lol!

It takes me about 4 hours to do the wash, dry, glass inside and out, interior wipe down (dust) and engine bay on my VRS and Swmbo's Corsa D of a Sunday afternoon and that's what I consider a "quick" once over.

5 hours is about right for doing the full monty on the Fabia including polishing the door checks, if I take all the wheels off and wash and polish them properly we're in the 8 hour region, 9 if I wash the calipers while I've got the wheels off.

My OCD is in full swing, ie totally developed!  :giggle:

That infuriates me

The who 'stanced scene' is deffo not my bag

A bit of lowering and negative camber (along with a proper and precise alignment for caster and toe) is handy if you plan to track the car, but simply strapping on a set of cheapo springs and living with the excess camber, handling compromise and wear is ridiculous.

And the cars with massive negative camber are just being provocative, as the car can barely move.

On the other hand, a stanced car can work, if it's done properly, with coilovers, and adjustable top mounts and arms, fresh drop links, etc.but it will always be compromised as there's no suspension travel.

That mercs just daft tbh

I lowered my kangoo today..... B)

With about 3 quarters of a tonne of topsoil.

I gave as much again to the bloke next door.

It's all down the tip now and my ride height is restored.  :whew:

Had my Cordoba looking like that with rubble in the boot parked face down a slopped drive. Got in, pressed the clutch in and it shifted forward and there was a bang... front spring had snapped! Yes... front! Expensive tip run...

Why? WHY?

And that is why the morbidly obese can't drive!

Yup. Thats why people on a budget go for budgets or part worns (the ones that i know anyway)

All does wonders for your cars handling of course.

I suppose it isn't worth putting more than £50 a tyre pairs on when they're going to be worn through in a similar time as a pair of part worn £20 ones.

True

But dont expect ground breaking levels of grip if your running on less than half the width of the cheapest tyres you can find, with stupidly stiff suspension that provides no give.

Atleast thats how my mates seems to be lol

It just looks to me as though the driver and his passengers are extremely fat and the boot is full of donuts.

More like the car is extremely fat and the driver and his passengers are donuts. :-)
