Thicker springs Skoda Favorit

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I've searched the forum but I didn't find the information I needed. The point is that I want to have stiffer rear suspension because of the wheels I use on my car. Can you please tell me what rear springs should I put on my Favorit 1994 hatchback. I don't want to lower it or something neither to get it higher, just stiffer because of the bumpy roads here... I suppose some golf mk3 sport springs should do the job but i want to hear your oppinion too. Cheers

it is not clear WHY you need thicker springs.

you said:

- because of the wheels I use

- because of the bumpy roads

so my question is:

do you want to use a hatchback as a truck?

Does it look like truck? Rims are 16" 9j ET 15...

That looks interesting, have you got any pictures in daylight so we can see it better?

No, unfortunately I don't. I have daylight pictures of the Skoda but not with these rims :( Here are some other photos with them.

So your having scrubbing issues, would estate springs not be a heaver rating so they'd be stiffer?

I suppose, but i'm not sure if they'd be stiff enough...

Hi,

Love the colour of your Fav. :)

Felicia 1.9D estate springs are a direct fit to the Favorit and as much stiffer as you can go without getting custom springs

Mk3 golf rear coilovers? Should keep the ride height but will be stiffer

I put favorit estate springs on a hatch and it does ride slightly higher on the rear now. Can carry a bit more weight without looking overloaded too. It's a straight forward, easy swap,  is cost effective and doesn't make the car uncomfortable to drive on the bumpy stuff. (main roads in Lincolnshire ;) )
