R1 vs Porsche

Featured Replies

I thoroughly enjoyed looking at all those old motors - a lot of Rovers, which is a very rare sight nowadays

If you look very carefully, the Porsche didn't make contact with the 106 - it's an illusion created by the edge of the glass on the bike. It looks like contact because the Porsche jolts to the side very quickly just as the edge of the glass catches it.

As for the actual racing... it's one thing to tonk it a little, but that was a whole 'nother level of being a c***. Ok, it was a thrill to watch, but I saw some on-coming traffic actually end up entering the grass verge - easilly could have resulted in some innocent people being killed.

So. Is that you and your brother in the vid? ;)

No ........ If it was me and my mate on our R1s we'd of been in the next county before that Porsche driver had time to say ' 3 points and a ban' !

Someone on Youtube said it was apparently the A57 round Worksop

Upon another look I maybe wrong. It's a very similar stretch of road as the a303, lots of roundabouts, single and dual carriageway but the a303 doesn't have so many overhead bridges.

Pair of ****ers.

Crazy - that 106 driver probably shat himself!

Aren't the ghost rider ones staged though?

I am sure some of the older ones are yes, there a few earlier videos though that I doubt are. Mainly abroad (in the right hand side of the road). Good watching :)

Anyone want to hazard a guess as to where it was filmed?

Definitely A57 Worksop. I used to use that stretch often. Pair of *****.

Yep me too, although I don't recall getting up to that sort of speed in the 70 bhp BX diesel I used to drive in those days.....
