Dent Puller

Featured Replies

I broke my golden rule, and parked my car near to the supermarket entrance. Lo and behold, when I got home I found a dent in my driver door, just below the side mirror. It's not huge, but certainly noticeable. Hasn't broken or chipped the paint work.

They must've opened their door hard, as it's along the swage line, and probably one of the toughest parts of the door panel. What a lovely world we live in.

So, anyway, can anyone recommend a good DIY dent puller?

I'd go to someone like AutoRestore or Chipsaway rather than try and do it yourself

Can you get a picture?

Chips away fixed a dent in my tailgate after it was dented while parked. Took the guy about 4 hrs and he filled taped and sprayed it for £95. Even though I know its been repaired I can't see it.

Had a dent like that removed by a Dent Magic guy in less than an hour.  The fact there seems to be no paint damage is a bonus.

He turned up with a selection of what looked like, crowbars with round ball and metal roller tips, and set to work.

Most of the 50-ish minutes was spent removing and then replacing the door trim, the dent itself was gone in about 5 mins.

You'll be staggered what these dent removal specialists can do.

I know, as I work alongside them sometimes, and have used one in particular to do some dings on my Fabia and Fiesta

Probably won't cost more than £40/50 too for that.

Bloody annoying and unnecessary expense all the same though.

I had several removed from my MKI Superb that were much worse than that by a PDR guy

Struggling to understand that, sorry.

You've had dents removed by someone other than a paintless dent removal bloke that were much worse than what, or am i just a bit dim here?

No sorry. It's me. I'm dim

You've had some worse dents than that (this)  removed by a PDR specialist.

Gorrit now, sorry

Thanks lads.  £50 is a drop in the ocean, compared to the new bumper and re-spray required after someone used my rear bumper as a parking aid.  Just less money left in the budget for engine tuning.
