Sk.Superb 2 Drivers Seat Belt Buzzer Deactivation

Featured Replies

 This is one for the technical heads.Skoda Superb 2, Is there a way to deactivate the drivers seat belt buzzer as I am except from seat belt regulation due to my profession. I would very much appreciate any replies.

Yes it can be done, there are two methods.

The first one, could have possible implications with the safety systems on the car as its effects are unknown, apart from disabling the light and buzzer. Essentially you disconnect with wiring from the seat belt buckle, then the car thinks the seatbelt is always plugged in. Do not disconnect the airbag wiring, a fault code will be logged that will require a dealer to clear.

The official way is to code out the warning from the instrument cluster using VCDS, so the car no longer checks the seatbelt status. I also believe this is something dealers can do with their diagnostic tool, since many Superb MK2s are used as taxis.
