Skoda VRS 2010

Featured Replies

Good afternoon everyone, I am sure that someone here has completed the following project: :hi:

I have just brought a 2010 VRS and have found that it is fitted with the old blutooth module and have found out that the newer one was fitted later that year. The old one is not complatable with either of the two phones I have or my wifes.. Androids and Iphones

I want to fit a new module. I have Maxidot and Bolero head unit with what I think is the 5K0 035 730 B which is the rsap version, I think I am able to buy the 5K0 035 730 D which is the ADAP version that would be compatable with my phone.

The big question is:

  • Does anyone know if what I am saying above is correct?
  • Has anyone completed this?
  • Where is the module hidden I have looked about... If so is there any pictures on this forum anywhere, I would just like to find and check the number.

Please please please could someone out there help... I do not really want to fit extra gadgets when its all there,

Cheers everyone...

I retrofitted an oem bluetooth module into my 2010 vrs with maxi dot. Can't remember the part number but it doesn't support rasp. Works fine with my samsung galaxy 4s and wife's htc mini. The module is under the driver's seat. Very easy to replace. Just slide the seat right back and you'll see it stuck to the floor at the front. Disconnect the plug and plug in new module. ...easy as that.

I removed my 5KO 035 730D from my 2011 Fabia VRS which i retrofitted to work with the maxi dot in that vehicle. I don't have maxi dot in the Octavia but it was plug and play with the bolero and no need for coding. As both the phones were already assigned it worked straight away with a samsung galaxy S3 and S4. The bluetooth module fits in nicely if you remove the climate control front facia and fit behind as there is just enough room.

If it was fitted from the factory the module will be under the driver's seat as that is the oe location

Thanks all just been out and found it.. And on ebay I have found VW Skoda Seat Bluetooth module control unit UHV 5K0 035 730 D Iphone Android I hope this is the one.

That will be fine for all phones but if you have maxidot, then for the same price you can get a premium 3c8 035 730 d module which connects in both rsap and hfp mode. The one you are looking at does not need maxidot but only connects in hfp mode.

Rsap connection allows text readout and the creation of a wifi hotspot. The 3c8 module also allows a different phone to be connected for streaming.
