Hi All,

 

So as it appears my car has done what it appears a lot of other Octavia MK1 owners cars has done and  both my front window regulators failed at pretty much exactly the same time.

 

I did what I'm sure a lot of people who didn't read these forums first and bought myself a cheap ebay regulator repair kit. Suprisingly this failed pretty much as soon as it was installed.

 

Unfortunately I am working on a budget as the car needs the timing belt changing this year along with a couple other parts servicing.

 

I was wondering if anyone could offer any advice on this

As long as it's compatible with the model (1U number) you should be OK - got one for the passenger side front for about the same price and it works without any problem 

Ordered one of them yesterday and fitted it today when it arrived for my octavia 1999 1.8 auto estate in the rear drivers side door and it works fine
