Back lighting fuse?

Featured Replies

Looked at a fuse layout map and still not sure which one controls the back lighting of the dash and switches etc when headlights are turned on. Mines gone following some serious electrical issues this evening....

It probably comes from the interior lighting feed circuit (activated by side lights) I'm nit all that familiar with the central electrics unit on the fabia if I'm honest...

apply a bit of logic to it, does the radio and other instruments switches etc light up when you put the sidelights on?

I meant to post this in fabia 1 - WTF? lol

(for anyone else. for some reason I posted this in the moderators section first.....)

It doesn't help that that fuse layout on the link isn't the same for the VRS. Correct me if I'm wrong but the VRS has less fuses? I noticed this after finding a 20amp where a 15 should go. Yes the plastic of the fuse had melted yet not blown. Not sure if it happened before or after I put LED's in the front, but its been fine since.

I've had my dash lights go out before and it was under a different fuse than listed in the manual. Does your radio still work?

Mine was the same as the reg lights also.

Well, I have changed the fuse 36 (5 amp) today - The old one was gone, probably due to my recent electrical issues (sparks and all :D) so I am confident next time I am driving in the dark I will have backlighting again. :)

It's handy having a spare car on the drive as I just nabbed the fuse out of that :D

Fuse 36 worked for me - very disconcerting to be driving in the dark with only the headlight indicator lit up - oh and the seatbelt warning light that refuses to go off!
