Removing boost pipes

Featured Replies

Over the weekend, the plan is to remove all boost pipes to give them a clean.

I'm finding it difficult to understand how the pipe from the air box is to be removed. This goes down and behind the back of the engine, please see picture included.

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks

It's held on with 3, 10mm bolts I think... Possibly torx bits... As well as the spring clips on the airbox side and the turbo side.

Should only have fresh air going into it really so won't need cleaning unless you really wanted to.

Thanks buddy, any ideas how would I reach the spring clips on the bottom end that connects to the turbo?

Cheers

That will all depend where the clip is facing!

Mine was downwards so got it no problem from under the car, others have been upwards so the whole pipe can be removed from the top.

Not a hard job, takes about 15 minutes really, just depends what tools you have access to.
