Hi everyone,

Need some opinions. I had B8 dampers fitted to my vRS TFSI two weeks ago.

The car had been lowered -50mm (-35mm vRS) on standard dampers and sat perfectly; looked noticeably lower, especially compared to other Octavia vRS's and cars in general.

After fitting the B8's I noticed the back tyres had a noticeable arch gap; like it did before lowering! The front end also looked slightly higher, but not as noticeable. Thought I'd give it time to settle; it hasn't!

Has anyone else fitted the B8's and seen similar? Wishing I'd gone coilovers now!

Is it possible that you bought the wrong sized shocks?

I had my B8s and H&R -50mm springs put in last week gimme an hour or so and I will get some photos up.

I ordered them through DT. Phoned their parts dept and they checked against my car details. The ones supplied had mkV GTI on the box (rears). Hopefully they speced the right ones. :/

They are only 17s with 235/45/17 potenzas on. Will be getting new wheels and uprated brakes after the k04 conversion, so need 18s or poss 19s to fit over big calipers. I bought the alloys just for the tyres for another car about 2 years ago, they were off a lexus 5x114.3 but fitted them with wobble bolts and new spigot rings. They have a better offset also which pushed them out a bit so didn't need to use spacers. Don't look too bad after a respray considering I got them double cheap, they will do for now !
