Ah

Car went in but they can find no leak in the air con system. Apparently radiator is fine, compressor seems fine but there was no gas in the system after being done 2 1/2 weeks back.

 

Dealer has put dye in the system and asked me to go in next week to see if the gas has gone down and hopefully it might show where the problem lies.

 

At the moment though, I have cold air again.

I've got a 61 plate VRS TDI and the aircon doesn't blow cold at all! Is it likely that it needs re-gassing after 2 and a 1/2 years and 46k? Or is it likely to be a problem somewhere?

I'v just had the compressor replaced on my 61 Octavia Greenline II. Almost the exact mileage and age....
